By car

The M6 between Junctions 7 and 10 is a notorious bottleneck, especially at Junction 8 where it meets the M5. You are advised to take this into account if driving from south of Walsall; this last part of your journey may take longer than you think! If you're driving up the M5, an option is to follow the signs for the M6 South and take the exit for Walsall at Junction 7 of the M6. (Be aware that Junction 7 is a very strange beast: keep your wits about you as you follow the signs for Walsall, and don't drive back onto the motorway.)

From Junction 10 of the M6 (pictured), go east towards Walsall (on the A454). Turn right at the second set of traffic lights, into Primley Avenue. The school is about one-third of a mile along, on the right.

From Junction 7 of the M6, go towards Walsall. Bear right at the small double roundabout, rather than going into the town centre (if your satnav tells you to turn left, do so - it's a different route). At the very large five-way traffic lights, take the ring road towards Wolverhampton, passing Walsall College on your right. From the ring road/town centre/Crown Wharf shopping centre, continue towards Wolverhampton, keeping in the left-hand lane on Wolverhampton Road (the A454). Turn left immediately past the Texaco/Somerfield service station, into Primley Avenue. The school is about one-third of a mile along, on the right.

By bus

From Walsall

The 335 and the 336 leave from the Bradford Place bus terminus on Bradford Street, and not from the main bus station. The 335 is the slightly shorter journey. Bradford Street meets the main shopping street - Park Street - in the town centre (look for the "Hair in the Square" sculpture and the statue of Sister Dora, both of which are midway between the main bus station and the Bradford Place terminus). The school is easy to spot from the bus, which stops right by the school.

Alternatively, the 529 to Wolverhampton leaves from the main bus station (St. Paul's, Stand M) and stops just after Primley Avenue (the third road on the left from town, by Texaco/Somerfield). Then walk down Primley Avenue (see below).

From Wolverhampton

The 529 from Wolverhampton eventually goes across the M6 and stops just past the Parkbrook public house, which is on the left shortly after the first set of traffic lights. Primley Avenue is opposite the bus stop. The school's a very brisk five-minute walk down Primley Avenue, or a more leisurely ten-minute stroll.

By taxi

The taxi rank is right in the town centre in Bridge Street, close to the main bus station and by the HSBC bank (which faces the "Hair in the Square").

Public transport from Birmingham

There is a train service from Birmingham New Street to Walsall. Walsall railway station is about five minutes walk from both bus stations and from the taxi rank in Bridge Street.

Alternatively, the 51 and 51X buses leave Birmingham from Carr Street, down the side of Marks and Spencer (which is more than five minutes walk from New Street and even further from Digbeth Bus Station). The 51X is the faster service.
