All pupils and students are in mixed registration forms, each with their own form teacher.
The managers of Key Stages 3 and 4 are each supported by a Guidance Leader:

two Learning Mentors and an Academic Mentor;

Social Inclusion
Social Inclusion Co-ordinator Miss D Taylor
The Social Inclusion Co-ordinator works with vulnerable pupils and families with problems; the Parent Support Adviser works with her. She also trains the peer mentors, who help other pupils to cope with their learning - not simply with bullying.
Mentoring
Learning Mentors Mrs S Ali and Miss N Gorman
Academic Mentor Mrs L Llewellyn
The Learning Mentors work with specific pupils with the aim of integrating them more effectively into the learning process. The Academic Mentor focuses more closely on raising a wide range of pupils from Ds to Cs at GCSE.
ABEC Nurture Group
Co-ordinator Mrs R Burroughs
Some children benefit by having the chance to develop an understanding of their own and others' needs in a nurture group; this, in turn, improves their ability to learn. Parents/carers are consulted regularly and encouraged to work in partnership with the school.
Alternative Curriculum
Alternative Curriculum Co-ordinator Mr D Morgans
Mr Morgans teaches and provides for those pupils in years 10 and 11 categorised as "in danger of not being in education, employment or training (NEET)".
Extended Schools
Extended Schools Co-ordinator Mr J Herriotts
The Extended Schools Co-ordinator has the job of monitoring and developing the which takes place before and after school, during lunchtimes, and on off-site visits.
Youth Community Workers
Mr Neil Flavell and Mr Wayne Fraser, Miss Lisa Jones, Mr Stewart Hartshorne and Mr Brian Moore
We aim to help and support our pupils as much as possible. To help us work towards this aim, the five youth workers are involved with the pupils through:
- patrolling the college throughout the school day;
- supervising lunchtime activities;
- holding after school activities, e.g. football, badminton and a music club;
- giving guidance to pupils.
